Poetry: “Beads”

Don’t stain her collar,
Burgundy Lip Balm
#4769,
Mass-produced
For discerning eyes
And open invitations…
RSVP

Nude shadows
Beg her to crawl over coals,
But she’ll take you down
Below the drop-off.

Slip,
Slide,
Into thermal baths.
Obey thick need–
He slithers through
Quivering
Primordial jet streams
And steals into
Her panic room
(Thieves mock the deadbolt)

Colors of the rainbow
Ascend to astral heights.
Your incantations:
Created to appease the slavish
Appetites
Of this musical
Erotica
(Tetherball hits the spot)

Ensemble,
“Let’s Dance”
With reptilian mammals–
Show them Baton Rouge boys
How she earned her beads;
Cast your lunar chants
Toward charted astrology.

Decks of tarot cards
Break locks with jaws.
Open wide
To part the other entrance(s)
Of paradise,
Lost.

How you get inside her ecstasy:
Tell it to the judge.

Delighted to meet you,
Beelzebub.

Though I’ve never been to Mardi Gras, I attended Pride this year. Didn’t need to flash anyone to get these beads. 😉
