Poetry: “Dare”

I dare you to
Encroach upon
My personal space
Without inspiring
My hands
To push you
Away

It can’t be done

No one has yet
To prove me
Wrong

Even if you take the dare, you will not succeed. I don’t (willingly, knowingly) take candy from strangers. My lesson learned: always be cautious. Don’t trust anyone — especially when you can’t see their eyes/face/expression. That’s my motto, and I’m sticking to it.

Thank you for reading.

Jane
