Poetry: “Thorns”

My grandee wears
Next to nothing,
Or even less;
Just his crooked halo
Of crowned thorns
And deep regrets.

During my too-brief stay in Florence, I didn’t have the chance to see the original David, but Piazzale Michelangelo houses a replica I found alluring enough to photograph; and provides a panoramic view of the city that I couldn’t help falling in love with — it’s a vision so glorious, it stole my breath. My travel companion Brea (also the photographer of the above pic — thank you, girl!) agrees: Piazzale is a must-visit.

  1. What perfect words for this picture to accompany 💖 so thank you 💖

  2. Oh, the pleasure is all mine. I was tempted to add some shots of Dave’s butt, but we can save that for another post. 😉 Thanks again for letting me borrow him. 😀
