Poetry Reading: “Now”

Phonetic sprigs of infused jasmine

Vaporize violet breezes,

Alluring lavender flirtations.

Prescription of Teutonic tonic:

Edelweiss rolled in rose hips,

Simmered on low

Over grass-knolled river banks.

Rainbow trout burble froth-lipped speech

Via natant streams-of-consciousness —

Skinny-dipping to soak combative sweat

Sluiced off red-clay runways

Of Georgia’s arid thoughts.

Baptism by heuristic intent,

Myrrh and frankincense.

Cloud-trimmings bathe in

Terraqueous tidings of peace

Through the oblivion of second-sight —

Believing the best blessing

Awaits around the bend…

But here lies Love

In the present.

Dedicated to my brave, kind friend. Thank you so much for your prayers. I believe they did some good. Whether that’s the placebo effect or an authentic occurrence, it matters not. I appreciate your existence.

Thank you all for the outpouring of support.
