Poetry: “Overhea(r)d”

Overhea(r)d
Condensation clinches
Corps-à-corps
Overwatered acorns
Hang(man)
Like spoiled fruit
Too heavy to reinforce
Rickety roller coaster
Plinths of
Topsy-turvy sugar cane
Whipped to weak peaks
Zenith molders
Point moot
Buckshot swilled
Swished to a still
Click
Between bullet-worn
Bicuspids as
Bipeds bicycled
To farmland pharmacies
Apothecaries
Allotted
Apocryphal
Apotheosis
To enhance
Obscured clarity
Thus inspiring
Blind charity
And replanted
Headless
Rapunzel
Lettuce
Let us pray
REM’s will replace
Rapacious
Fetishes
With
Sunday school
Catechism
How far along
Has the congregation
Come
Since Blood Moon
Took first communion
With Blond Sun?

God only knows.
